ODP2: Youth Ensemble

Untitled design
ODP2 is Open Dance Project’s pre-professional dance ensemble in residence at Hunter Dance Center in the Heights. ODP2 dancers have the opportunity to work and train in contemporary dance techniques as they work with professional guest artists and choreographers to build a full length contemporary story ballet from the ground up.
Dancers must be 12 – 18 years old (by August 1, 2019) with strong technique to audition. Once cast, dancers commit to taking a minimum of 3 ballet classes and 1 modern class a week. Dancers must be able to commit to weekly company technique and repertory classes on Saturdays at Hunter Dance Center, must make themselves available for all technical and dress rehearsals required for the Spring performance, and be committed to working as a team to build a positive, nurturing, and creative ensemble experience. Dancers must also be available for weekly Saturday rehearsals throughout the year and all of tech week and performances before their Spring performance.
